We Salute Brian McGinnis!
Brian McGinnis, who served in the United States Marine Corps from 2000–2004, disrupted a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, shouting: “America does not want to send its sons and daughters to war for Israel! No one wants to fight for Israel!”
The response was not only the Capitol Police removing him, but also US Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana joining them, apparently looking to get in on the confrontation. Video of what took place as McGinnis was removed from the hall has widely circulated, including the moment where his arm was broken.
McGinnis was arrested, given medical care, and held without being able to speak to his lawyer or family members before finally being released on March 7th. He now faces criminal charges stemming from the incident.
McGinnis is running for the US Senate in North Carolina as a Green Party candidate, on a pro-Palestine and anti-war platform.
The Center for Political Innovation salutes his brave anti-war stance and intends to support him in the face of the criminal charges. More anti-war activism, loudly denouncing this unpopular war, is needed. Brian McGinnis is a great example of the kind of bold speech needed as the criminal war against Iran, serving globalism/imperialism, continues against the wishes of the American people and the world.
