Peace Bridge Outreach at Minneapolis Comedy Show
The Center for Political Innovation took the Peace Bridge vision to the streets outside the Bassem Youssef comedy show at the PantagesTheater in Minneapolis.
“End the Wars! Build the Peace Bridge!
Money for jobs and schools for America! Not weapons for Israel and Ukraine!
Free Palestine! Build the Peace Bridge!”
That was the message that Gary and Penny proclaimed on September 25, 2026.
Bassem Youssef is a prominent Egyptian comedian who consistently promotes the liberation of Palestine. Many attendees were wearing keffiyehs to support Palestinian liberation. Gary and Penny raised awareness that the way to achieve that goal is to support the anti-imperialist countries like Russia and China. The multipolar world is emerging with the rising economies of the East and the broader development of BRICS and the New Silk Road.
Gary and Penny carried signs and passed out beautiful palm cards that showed the future America could have once the Peace Bridge vision becomes a reality. Building a rail tunnel across the Bering Strait would connect Alaska to Russia and Eurasia and would create opportunities for trade and economic development; high speed rail and happy farmers.
The Imperialist/Globalist economic system run by Wall Street and London is holding back progress with proxy wars and culture wars. Working families must unite to build a mass movement to demand a government of action that fights for the American people instead of the big banks.
Attendeeds and security guards agreed with the message. Many of the attendees took palm cards while waiting in line. A few families engaged in conversation about the economy and the wars and the vision of the Peace Bridge. A vision for building bridges between continents instead of dividing them is a populist message.
Gary and Penny sang two songs to entertain the attendees: We’ll Be Working on the Peace Bridge (to the tune of We’ll Be Workin’ on the Railroad) and This Train is Crossing the Peace Bridge (to the tune of This Train is Bound for Glory).

After most attendees had entered the theater, Penny gave a security guard a palm card and two books: Who Are the Houthis? What Are They Fighting For? and Do You Believe in Growth? She smiled and promised to give them to Bassem.
Overall, the night was a success.
