No Kings Minnesota - First Hand Account, CPI Intervenes at DNC Circus

by Penny Arcos

“Ninety-nine red balloons floating in the summer sky. Panic bells, it’s red alert!  There’s something here from somewhere else. The war machine springs to life. Opens up one eager eye. Focusing it on the sky where ninety-nine read balloons go by. …Bippety bop bop-boom boom bah.”

The last time that song was going viral on YouTube, former President Biden was provoking war with China because of some Dollar Store balloons and provoking a nuclear war with Russia by supplying Ukraine with long range missiles to attack Moscow. Americans voted for the promise of jobs and peace, not war, in the 2024 elections. As the threat of a new world war looms in South America, Minnesotans dressed in inflatable costumes of Garfield, Sponge Bob, Gary the Snail and giant frogs danced to the tunes of 99 Red Balloons and Prince’s Let’s Go Crazy. Thousands of Minnesotans gathered on the lawn between US Bank Stadium and Wells Fargo on Saturday, October 18th to express their outrage at Donald Trump and what they call fascism and authoritarianism, not against the International banks that uphold the exploitative Imperialist/Globalist economic system.

A middle-aged couple donned yellow shirts picturing Washington crossing the Delaware that read The Original Founder of ANTIFA in AMERICA. Their chocolate brown Mastodor sported a poster that read Good Dogs Against Dictators. Grey-haired men and women held up a blue banner on a hill that read “Uphold the Constitution. Defend Democracy.” Since when have the Democrats defended Democracy? The DNC can legally choose their own candidates, overturning the will of the voters (Wilding v. DNC Services Corp.). The Democrats did not hold debates or a primary, anointing Kamala Harris as their replacement for Biden in 2024. The Democrats waged lawfare against Donald Trump and spent millions of taxpayer dollars to push Russiagate in order to force Trump to continue the Ukraine Proxy War. Is that what they call DEMOCRACY?

A local singer equated Trump with Franco and called for regime change as he sang, “Hold the Line” and a line of women dressed in red capes and white bonnets cosplayed The Handmaid’s Tale. One brave woman held up a blue sign behind them that read “Hands off Venezuela.” Why are anarchists obsessed with Franco? Caleb recently answered this question on his livestream. And why are Democrats obsessed with abortion rather than fighting for universal healthcare? The lineup of speakers included Indivisible Twin Cities, a Lakota tribal leader, UNIDOS-MN, Black Lives Matter, Senator Tina Smith and AG Keith Ellison. Every speech referred to Trump as a fascist, an authoritarian or a dictator.

Scrunched between inflatable cartoon characters and a crowd of middle-aged liberals,I hoisted a foam board that read Hands Off Venezuela and pictured President Maduro. Juggling my selfie stick and a bullhorn on a string, I shouted, “Hands Off Venezuela! Hands off Maduro!” as a speaker from Indivisible Twin Cities commended the crowd for being courageous in the face of fascism. Next, Senator Tina Smith looked out over the crowd. Before she could speak, I shouted into my bullhorn, “Hands off Venezuela! Hands off Maduro!” The Lakota Leader pitched for Lt. Gov. Peggy Flannagan and led the crowd in chanting, “Whose land? Native Land!” referencing the Land Back campaign, which would privatize public land. As the speaker for Black Lives Matter riled up the crowd chanting, “NO KINGS! NO TRUMP!” I shouted,“Hands off Venezuela! Hands off Maduro!”  As the speaker for UNIDOS-MNs shed tears for indigenous families, I shouted, “So stop the war on Venezuela! If you care about Indigenous people, then stop the war on South America! Hands of Venezuela! Hands off Maduro!”

At this point, the liberals around me had had enough. Some politely asked me to move. Some shouted at me to shut the F*** up! Taking a page from the OBNOXIOUS PSL protests, I shouted back in their faces, “Hands off Venezuela! Hands off Maduro!” They told me I was being disrespectful. I shouted back, “It’s disrespectful to invade another country! How about that?” Eventually I squeezed through the crowd to get closer to the stage before MN AG Keith Ellison presented.

After holding a moment of silence for the victims of a recent school shooting and the assassination of Rep. Hortman and her husband, Ellison went on a tirade about greedy billionaire gun manufacturers. “We don’t just have a gun violence problem. We have an oligarch problem.” He vowed to push for a nationwide ban on assault rifles. The crowd cheered wildly. Ironically, nothing was said about the assasination of Charlie Kirk, which is still shrouded in mystery. After the crowd quieted down, I shouted, “Hands off Venezuela! Hands off Maduro! Bring our troops home! You want to stop school shootings? Stop sending weapons to Nazis in Ukraine!”

Ironically, these same liberals are the ones who cheered on the cold-blooded killing of the United Healthcare CEO and who worship Luigi Mangione. Liberals cheered after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. They equate CPI members with Kirk. Calling us fascists and wearing Covid masks, they stormed our workshop in February. And let us not forget the young man with Blackrock connections and the Ukraniac who attempted to assassinate Trump. Caleb Maupin’s book, The Dangers of An American Years of Lead, warns about the dangers of supporting political violence.

Lastly, Ellison, ranting against abuse of the criminal justice system, defended his dear friends Tish James and James Comey, both of whom have been indicted for their fraudulent involvement in lawfare against Trump and pushing the Russiagate lie that has led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and billions of taxpayer dollars being wasted. No Kings protesters had no demands except denouncing ICE and authoritarianism or fascism. We at CPI assert that a strong government is necessary to stand up against Wall Street and International Banks. We demand a government of action that fights for working families.
