We Stand with George & Gayatri Galloway!

The Center for Political Innovation expresses its full solidarity with George and Gayatri Galloway and the Workers Party of Britain in light of their shocking detention by the British government under the Terrorism Act. George Galloway has, for decades, been a fearless voice for peace, justice, and working-class empowerment, consistently standing against imperialist wars and in defense of oppressed peoples. His detention is not only an attack on him personally, but on the right of the British people to hear anti-imperialist perspectives without intimidation or silencing.

This disgraceful abuse of counterterrorism legislation reveals once again how the so-called “democratic” institutions of the West weaponize fear and repression against dissent. The Workers Party of Britain represents a growing current of working-class resistance in a nation suffocated by austerity, endless war, and elite corruption.

We are honored that our member, Noah Schenk, was able to briefly meet with George Galloway in Russia while attending the World Youth Festival and we are also proud that our founder Caleb Maupin has appeared on George Galloway’s television and radio programs many times over the years.

The CPI stands shoulder to shoulder with George Galloway, the Workers Party, and all those fighting for real independence, peace, and socialism in Britain. Their struggle is our struggle.
