Peace With Russia! Prosecute John Bolton! - October 4th Rallies Across America
On October 4th, members of the Center for Political Innovation in six different cities took to the streets with a message of “Peace with Russia! Prosecute John Bolton!”
They carried with them massive foam board placards that said “We Support Peace Talks! End the Ukraine War” and showed President Trump and President Putin shaking hands. They also carried images of Tulsi Gabbard that said “Thank You, Tulsi!”—acknowledging her important role in exposing and debunking the Russia-gate hoax that led to the escalation, the current crisis, and Russia’s special military operation. CPI members also said, “Build the Peace Bridge!” emphasizing their desire for a bridge connecting the U.S. with Russia over the Bering Sea.
In Minneapolis, an elderly CPI member sang peace songs he learned as a child at Communist youth programs during the 1950s. In New York, protesters were joined by a minister from Manhattan Family Church, who led them in prayer. In Los Angeles, CPI members did outreach at the University of Southern California. In Portland, members set up the poster on an easel and distributed leaflets to passersby. In Maine, CPI members did outreach in a college town and received mixed reactions from locals. In Chicago, two CPI members engaged with people who had assembled nearby for anti-ICE protests and had to address the confusion of some protesters who thought Tulsi Gabbard and Kristi Noem were the same person.
Overall, the national day of action was a success for CPI—an important day of engaging with the public and expressing support for the eventual end to the conflict in Ukraine and improved relations with Russia.
