Juneteenth in Minneapolis - HANDS OFF AFRICA!

by Penny Arcos

June 19, 1865, is the day that Union troops led by Major General Granger marched into Galveston, Texas, to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation two years after its decree.

In honor of Juneteenth and African liberation, the Minnesota CPI team set up a display outside the Global Market in Minneapolis. With Governor Walz scheduled to speak at a family-centered Juneteenth event at the State Capitol, Penny Arcos and Gary Blatz had planned to perform a skit to call out the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party before Gary had to go to work that day.

Joe Biden made Juneteenth a federal holiday in 2021. But his entire career centered around filling up the for-profit prisons with African men, destroying families. In 2022, Joe Biden sent the FBI to raid the homes and offices of the UHURU movement and terrorize the African community, falsely accusing Uhuru of acting as Russian agents. But Uhuru fought the charges and exposed the FBI's lies in court.

The Center for Political Innovation was first out of the gate to support Uhuru in their Free Speech Trial of the Century against what they call the Colonial Government.

Minneapolis, once a thriving metropolis, has become a ghost town. African communities are neglected. But Governor Walz, a.k.a. Tampon Tim, continues to fund Israel's bombing campaign in Palestine and Lebanon. Walz continues to send our tax dollars to Nazi sympathizers in Ukraine to fight Russia on behalf of NATO.

Meanwhile, in Mali, West Africa, Ukrainians use NATO weapons and intelligence to merge with terrorist groups in order to destabilize the region. Captain Ibrahim Traoré explains to his people that the imperialists want to keep them in a perpetual state of warfare so that Africans can never exploit their resources and develop as a nation.

As Gary and Penny were practicing their skit, Mohamed, a Somali man, saw the display and shouted, “Ibrahim Traoré!”

The team kept the camera rolling as Mohamed told them everything he knew about Burkina Faso and colonialism.

As other people walked by, Mohamed drew them into the conversation.

An Indigenous woman stopped to talk with Mohamed. She shared her grievances against the U.S. government for taking Indigenous land and murdering her family. Mohamed empathized with her and gave her a hug.

Gary and Penny explained the Democrats' Russiagate case against the Uhuru Three. Mohamed understood that this was an attack on African liberation, relating it to Obama's destruction of Libya and AIPAC's control of the U.S. government.

Mohamed was grateful for the support of African liberation. He invited viewers to attend the upcoming Somali Independence Day events on June 27.

Later that day, Penny visited the event at the Capitol with the intention of disrupting Governor Walz. The only people there were the vendors in their tents and the musicians on the bandstand. Perhaps the chilly, drizzly weather kept people away.

Organizers were hesitant to allow Penny to walk around on the Capitol lawn with signs, even though they were signs supporting African liberation. Once again, the hypocrisy of the Democrats was on display.

The lesson learned is that one must be prepared to engage with the public no matter what else is planned. Ordinary people on the street want to end the wars and rebuild America. The Democratic Party undermines African liberation while claiming to fight racism.

The Center for Political Innovation understands that African liberation is American liberation.
