“Free Maduro!” CPI Members visit Metropolitan Detention Facility

On January 10th, Center for Political Innovation members who had traveled to New Jersey for a gathering the following day loaded into a van and drove to the Metropolitan Detention Center, where Nicholas Maduro and his spouse are being held after being illegally kidnapped by the U.S. government.

CPI members protested both across the street from the jail’s front entrance and near the back entrance. Many passersby were sympathetic, including a Latin American blogger who happened to be on the scene. He filmed the protests and even took the bullhorn to deliver a message of solidarity to Maduro in Spanish.
