CPI Founder warns of "Years of Lead" Manipulations at International Technology Conference

Caleb Maupin, representing the Center for Political Innovation, was a featured speaker at the 2025 Global Digital Forum, which included over 1,000 IT experts from around the world. The conference, held in the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod, focused on fact-checking Western media and tackling the new challenges created by AI.

In his remarks, he focused on how social media manipulation is part of a strategy used by imperialism/globalism to play different progressive forces against each other. Maupin highlighted Italy’s infamous “Years of Lead” and how U.S. intelligence fomented political confusion through Operation Gladio, enabling the NATO establishment to remain in power by demoralizing and confusing the public and channeling dissent into senseless violence.

During the conference, Caleb Maupin had substantial interactions with the delegation from South Africa, including students from Durban University, who were very happy to learn about CPI and its efforts to build an anti-imperialist movement among the American people. Representatives from Cuba, Iran, Venezuela, Vietnam, China, and other anti-imperialist and socialist countries were present at the conference, speaking on new challenges rooted in technology.

At the panel, Caleb Maupin spoke alongside the owners of the largest clothing manufacturing company in Nigeria, the well-known international journalist Pepe Escobar, the team representing an alternative TV network from South Africa, a French citizen who is facing prison time for fundraising for the people of Donbass, and other outspoken anti-imperialist voices and representatives of the emerging BRICS economy.
