CPI Analysis of Anti-China Tariffs Featured on International TV

Noah Schenk, a Boston-based organizer with the Center for Political Innovation, was featured as an expert on international television on Sunday, May 11th. Schenk served as the primary analyst on an episode of Economic Divide, a program hosted by Kiabasi Pournemati that focuses on trends in international markets.

Schenk spoke critically of the U.S. trade war against China, stating:
"I'm an American patriot. I think it would be wonderful if we could somehow bring back manufacturing in this country. But punitively trying to punish countries like China for having manufacturing, when we are simply not capable of doing so, is not the right way. It hurts American citizens, it hurts the bottom line of small business owners, and it hurts consumers."

He also emphasized the crumbling infrastructure of the United States and argued that the country's economic future is increasingly tied to the emerging BRICS economy, rather than the declining Atlanticist financial order.
